Halloween 2011 marks a milestone for G4GORILLA, with my inclusion on the legendary annual Halloween mashup collection from Cheekyboy, this year entitled THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASHACRE. 

Now in it's eigth year, Cheekyboy's collection is far and away the most popular Halloween mashup compilation on the planet. When I started making mashups I was in awe of the off-the-wall stuff from these albums, and I never thought I'd get as far as being able to match it with these guys. I'm really happy that Cheekyboy liked my tribute to YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN enough to include it, especially since I've heard the other mixes from this year's compilation - and they seriously KICK ASS!

Every April sees the release of a new genre smash compilation, compiled by Chris Manning (a.k.a. Envision). You can find details of albums number 1 and number 2 here on the g4g blog, but better yet, Chris has made the job easy by creating a page with all three .  

This year’s album, THE 3RD WORLD, is the biggest yet with over 40 all-new mashups from a host of international producers. There are in fact too many to list here! So please, hit the link and check it out! If you like the three contributions below from me, you will LOVE the quality of mashups from the likes of The Reborn Identity, Dan Mei, SI.R., Voicedude and G3RSt, to name but a random five.

The guys at SOUND UNSOUND put out the call for mashups using sources from the U.K. in the eighties. I LOVE the U.K. eighties!

And why not? For starters, the music was so diverse, and that's reflected in all the mashups on this far-out compilation(including 5 by me). I was glad to contribute, and I heartily recommend you wrap your ears around this collection as soon as possible. It's wicked!
